Star Trek: Bridge Crew, the upcoming VR game from developer Red Storm Entertainment, will allow fans to play as the beloved U.S.S. Enterprise bridge from Star Trek: The Original Series, Ubisoft has announced.
Additionally, Ubisoft revealed the game’s new release date. Star Trek: Bridge Crew was originally slated to launch last November, but was delayed to March 2017 shortly thereafter. Now, Bridge Crew is scheduled to launch for PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift in just a few more months on May 30.
U.S.S. Enterprise bridge in Star Trek: Bridge Crew
In Star Trek: Bridge Crew, up to four players work together to take on various missions while commanding a Starfleet vessel. The game features both randomly-generated and story-driven missions, where players will need to coordinate to accomplish various exploration and combat-based tasks.
You’ll be able to play as the original U.S.S. Enterprise bridge in the Ongoing Voyages mode, which offers and endless supply of randomized missions to complete. In addition to the U.S.S. Enterprise, players can serve as the captain, or one of the tactical, engineering or helm officers aboard a brand new ship called the U.S.S. Aegis.
