From our Review of the PC Version: While The Turing Test generally walks an interesting if familiar line, it excels when it introduces some genuinely fresh ideas in its latter half. In the first, The Turing Test is a traditional first-person puzzler in which you navigate a series of rooms in a desolate research facility and solve a bunch of single-serving challenges, all while a questionable AI narrator guides you. It’s devoid of Portal’s incredible humor, but the writing and acting do a good job of posing interesting questions revolving around free will, what it means to be human, and of course, the artificial intelligence test from which this game draws its name.

From our Review: The plot of Yakuza 0 is served up like a fresh bowl of udon noodles; simmering, full of twists and turns, and satisfying to the end. While I very much enjoyed the bone-cracking street fights, numerous oddball side characters, and the Lonely Planet guide’s worth of entertaining diversions along the way, it’s really the taut tale of betrayal and the bitter arm wrestle for power at its centre that kept me glued to the controller throughout.

From our Preview: Over the years, the Tales of series has had an array of different protagonists. From plucky to stoic, no two Tales heroes have ever been quite alike. But none have been as dark and angry as the heroine–or is that anti-heroine–of Tales of Berseria.

From our Review: Like a riddle with no solution, the phenomenon of Dan Brown’s glorified airport puzzle books in the early 21st century can seem mystifying. Despite being his fourth novel, 2003’s The Da Vinci Code worldwide success cemented the template of arcane, art world-based enigmas, wrapped up in globetrotting travelogue pursuits.
